Common Questions

How are attempts counted?
One attempt = one complete module session. For example, completing a Reading test uses 1 attempt. A Standard plan with 15 attempts lets you do 15 module sessions per month in any combination.
Is the Writing and Speaking evaluation accurate?
Yes. Writing and Speaking are assessed using official IELTS band descriptors by AI. The scores are estimates based on the same criteria human examiners use. Reading and Listening use the official IELTS conversion table for mathematically precise scores.
Does the app work offline?
No — BandUp requires an internet connection. Questions are generated by AI and audio is streamed, so an active connection is needed for each session.
Can I use my subscription for both IELTS and TOEIC?
Yes — one subscription covers both apps. If you subscribe to Standard on IELTS BandUp, you can use the same account on TOEIC BandUp and your attempts are shared.
Which IELTS format is supported?
Currently IELTS Academic. IELTS General Training support is planned for a future update.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Google Play. Go to Google Play → Subscriptions → BandUp → Cancel. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
Is iOS available?
Not yet. iOS support is in development and will be available soon. Android users can download from Google Play today.
